According to the Ministry of Public Security, activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security (CAND) August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025; 20 years of the National Day for National Security Protection (ANTQ) August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025 include 73 activities. Up to now, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security have completed 49 activities and are implementing the remaining 24 activities.
In particular, the Ministry of Public Security has organized many traditional political activities, propaganda, and education: Launched 3 emulation movements; organized a special political campaign "CAND cultivates ethics, practices, honors; unites, innovates, sets an example, disciplines, and is responsible for the country, for the people, serving the people";
Organized the launching of the Traditional Learning Contest "80 years of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and 20 years of the National Day for National Defense of Security and Order" nationwide and the Short Story and Report Composition Campaign with the theme "CAND - 80 years of building, fighting and growing up".
Regarding cultural, artistic and sports activities, the Ministry of Public Security has organized 8 art programs; organized 2 Ceremonies to honor: "Outstanding Police Women" and commend "Excellent grassroots female police" in 2024... At Ho Guom Theater, there are also many activities and art programs of the State, the Ministry of Public Security and departments, ministries and branches to celebrate major holidays and important events of the country, departments, ministries and branches.
The police units and localities proactively coordinate with sponsors to actively organize social security activities, charity, medical examination and treatment and provide free medicine to people in difficult circumstances in localities.
From the beginning of 2025 to now, the entire force has mobilized donations of 362 billion VND to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Cao Bang and Gia Lai according to the Government's program; at the same time, mobilized social resources to build 3,344 houses with a budget of more than 210 billion VND in localities.
Political and social organizations in the People's Public Security organize political activities, social security, gratitude, visits, gifts, free medical examination and treatment and house gifts for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, security forces of the grassroots, policy families, people with revolutionary contributions and union members and association members in difficult circumstances.
At the Press Conference, the Ministry of Public Security also informed about the organization of the World Police Music Festival in Vietnam in 2025, an opportunity to promote the image of the people's country of Vietnam to international friends, demonstrating the policy of Vietnam being a ready friend, trusted partner, and responsible member of the international community.
Regarding the number of groups participating in the Music Festival, there are: 5 foreign guests, 7 groups including: Laos, Russia, Japan, China, Cambodia with 231 foreign musicians and artists. Vietnam has 2 ensembles, the Ministry of Public Security ensembles and the Ministry of National Defense ensembles with 240 musicians.
This morning, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security also informed about the launch of the new interface of the Ministry's Electronic Information Portal and the Traditional Site, achievements of the Vietnam People's Public Security. Senior General Tran Quoc To - Deputy Minister of Public Security and a number of leaders of units pressed the button to launch the interface.
