Foundation for innovation without deviating
Implementing the full-term Working Program, the second Conference of the 14th Party Central Committee (Central Committee 2, 14th term) will be held from March 23 to March 25, 2026 in Hanoi Capital.
One of the important tasks at the Conference was that the Central Government considered the Regulations on Political and Ideological Work in the Party. At the closing session of the Conference, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the requirement for cadres and party members throughout the Party to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and consistently implement the "Four Perspectives" on politics and ideology.
The "Four Resolutions" mentioned by the General Secretary related to political and ideological work in the Party, are: Resoluteness, application and creative development of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh ideology; Resoluteness in the goal of national independence and socialism; Resoluteness in the Party's renovation guidelines; Resoluteness in the Party's organizational and operational principles to build and firmly protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
This content has received the attention of a large number of cadres, party members and people. Many opinions believe that the "Four Determinations" in political and ideological work is of particular importance, both as a strategic orientation and as a guiding principle for the actions of the entire Party and people in the new era.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Hoai Son, National Assembly Delegate working full-time at the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs, in the context of strong digital media development, multi-dimensional information flow, rapidly changing public opinion and increasingly high requirements for transparency, political and ideological work needs to be strongly innovated in both content and methods.

The development of Regulations on political and ideological work in the current period is not only a requirement to complete the document, but also a strategic step to improve the leadership capacity of the Party and the effectiveness of national governance.
In the context of profound renovation, political and ideological work needs to be organized in a scientific approach, based on data, linked to practice and aimed at solving social life problems. The "Four Permits" mentioned by the General Secretary are the "strategic compass" that helps both maintain goals and flexibly innovate, thereby consolidating the ideological foundation, stabilizing socio-politics and promoting sustainable development in the integration process.
Strengthen trust, maintain the political system
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Ly, former Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said that in the context of the world and the region having many rapid, complex and unpredictable changes, building a politically and ideologically strong Party is a vital requirement to consolidate and firmly develop the ideological foundation of the Party.
According to him, the General Secretary's emphasis on the "Four Determinations" in Party building work in terms of politics and ideology is of particular importance, contributing to consolidating trust, maintaining the political system and creating a stable environment for the country to develop sustainably.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Ly said that a core issue that needs to be concerned about is the effective organization of the implementation of the Party's guidelines and Resolutions into life, with specific and practical actions.
The important thing is to transform policies and ideologies into specific directions, specific solutions and specific actions in practice, and at the same time have a measure to evaluate the results of implementing the Party's guidelines and policies.
As the General Secretary emphasized in his opening speech, it is: The issues discussed and resolved at the 2nd Central Conference are the "legal corridors", "operating rules", "discipline principles", "action standards" to bring the Party's Resolution into life, creating a solid foundation for realizing the two 100-year strategic goals of the nation" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Ly shared.
