Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to arrange commune-level administrative units in Gia Lam district as follows:
Establish Thien Duc commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 3.08 km2, population of 11,396 people of Dinh Xuyen commune and the entire natural area of 2.70 km2, population of 7,452 people of Duong Ha commune.
After its establishment, Thien Duc commune had a natural area of 5.78 km2 and a population of 18,848 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 3.77 km2 and population of 6,730 people of Dong Du commune into Bat Trang commune.
After the merger, Bat Trang commune has a natural area of 5.42 km2 and a population of 15,566 people.
Establish Kim Duc commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 2.74 km2, population of 6,733 people of Kim Lan commune and the entire natural area of 6.66 km2, population of 8,396 people of Van Duc commune.
After its establishment, Kim Duc commune had a natural area of 9.40 km2 and a population of 15,129 people.
Establish Phu Son commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 5.09 km2, population of 9,780 people of Phu Thi commune and the entire natural area of 6.31 km2, population of 15,252 people of Kim Son commune.
After its establishment, Phu Son commune had a natural area of 11.40 km2 and a population of 25,032 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 4.30 km2 and population of 6,246 people of Trung Mau commune into Phu Dong commune.
After the merger, Phu Dong commune has a natural area of 16.12 km2 and a population of 22,014 people.
After the arrangement, Gia Lam district has 17 commune-level administrative units, including 15 communes and 02 towns.
According to Gia Lam District Party Secretary Nguyen Viet Ha, up to now, agencies and units in 5 communes arranged according to Resolution No. 1286/NQ-UBTVQH15 have completed and prepared to organize the apparatus of administrative units to officially come into operation from January 1, 2025.
The Secretary of Gia Lam District Party Committee requested the District People's Committee to lead and direct communes to create favorable conditions for people, organizations and businesses in the communes subject to the arrangement to conduct administrative transactions.

According to Lao Dong reporter's investigation, Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai has just signed and issued the 2025 Work Program of the Hanoi Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 17 (term 2020-2025).
Notably, the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee will review the progress of the project to upgrade 4 districts: Dong Anh, Gia Lam, Hoai Duc, Thanh Tri.
In particular, in April 2025, the Hanoi Party Committee is expected to review the progress report on the project to upgrade the districts of Dong Anh and Gia Lam; in October 2025, it will review the project to upgrade the districts of Hoai Duc and Thanh Tri.
