On January 27, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong had a working session with the Presidential Office on the implementation of tasks to organize the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
Also attending was Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.
At the working session, representatives of the President's Office reported on the plan to serve the activities of the President and Vice President before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
In which, the President and Vice President visited and presented gifts, encouraged veteran revolutionary cadres; typical policy beneficiaries; armed forces; met with overseas Vietnamese for the "Spring Homeland" program; launched Tet tree planting... and other regular domestic and foreign affairs activities.
At the working session, President Luong Cuong emphasized the need to prepare good conditions to serve the people to celebrate Spring and welcome the traditional Binh Ngo Tet in 2026 safely, healthily, and economically, creating a joyful atmosphere and motivation for the entire Party, people, and army to strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress right from the first months of 2026.
Organize well the visits, encouragement, and Tet greetings to veteran revolutionary cadres, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, families with meritorious services to the revolution, policy families, intellectuals, intellectuals, artists, people with prestige among ethnic minorities, exemplary religious dignitaries, armed forces units, and standing forces on duty during Tet in border areas, islands, remote and isolated areas, and particularly difficult places... ensuring that every home, every citizen is happy with Spring and welcomes Tet.
The President noted that the time from now until Tet is not long, while the workload is very large, requiring the Office of the President and related units to continue to carefully review each specific content, ensuring strictness and suitability with the actual situation, but absolutely not going against the directions of Party and State leaders.
Emphasizing the profound political and humane significance of Tet activities, the President affirmed that these are gratitude activities, showing the concern and care of the Party and State for policy beneficiaries and families with meritorious services to the revolution; therefore, preparation work needs to be carried out thoughtfully, responsibly, in accordance with the policy, and for the right beneficiaries.
The President requested the Presidential Office to firmly grasp the assigned functions and tasks, promote proactiveness, strengthen close coordination with relevant agencies, units, and localities to develop a plan to organize Tet activities in a scientific and effective manner; and at the same time, especially pay attention not to overlook tasks during the peak period from now until Tet.
Regarding the Homeland Spring program, the President requested to continue to prepare carefully, ensure solemn and thoughtful organization, express the respectful feelings of the Party and State towards compatriots abroad, contributing to further tightening the close relationship between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland and country.
Emphasizing that there are many tasks and tasks during the Lunar New Year that need to be prepared carefully, the President also requested the Presidential Office to ensure that tasks and tasks are regularly thoughtful, clearly assigned, and completed on schedule and according to the set plan.
