On December 12, at the Presidential Palace, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong received Ambassadors from the following countries: Egypt, India, Chile, Singapore and concurrent Ambassadors of Latvia, Albania, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea Xitoriana, Somalia, Chad, Paraguay on the occasion of submitting a Secretariat to receive a mission in Vietnam.
Receiving Egyptian Ambassador Hany Mostafa Mohamed Mostafa Hassan, the President affirmed that Vietnam attaches great importance to the role, position and contribution of Egypt to peace and stability in the region. The President emphasized the need to consider trade - investment as a pillar, promote cooperation in the fields of technology, agriculture, people-to-people exchanges; strengthen defense - security cooperation, as well as coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums.
Congratulating Indian Ambassador Tshering W. Sherpa on his assignment in Vietnam, the President affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and gives high priority to the good traditional friendship with India. The President suggested that the two countries should create a breakthrough in economic, trade and investment cooperation, making the most of the socio-economic advantages and market potential of the two economies; promote defense, security, science, technology, people-to-people cooperation as well as areas in which the two countries have needs, potential and strengths.
Welcoming Ambassador of the Republic of Chile Nasly Isabel Bernal Prado to take up his assignment in Vietnam, the President hopes that, with his affection and ability, the Ambassador will promote and deepen the cooperation between the two countries in all fields, including economy, trade and investment commensurate with good political relations.
Receiving Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore Rajpal Singh, the President affirmed that Singapore is a close friend and key economic partner of Vietnam. The President hopes that during his term in Vietnam, the Ambassador will be a bridge to further promote delegation exchanges and contacts at high and all levels; effectively implement the Action Program on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Singapore for the period 2025-2030.
Speaking at the Secretary of State's presentation ceremony for the Ambassadors to Vietnam from the following countries: Latvia, Albania, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Djibouti, Gabon, Guineariday, Somalia, Chad and Paraguay, the President was pleased to see that, overcoming geographical gaps, based on the good traditional friendship and relationship between Vietnam and friendly countries in South Asia, Central Asia, Africa, Latin America, Baltic and Balkan regions, it has been continuously promoted and achieved many positive progress.
The President emphasized that Vietnam consistently implements its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification, is a friend, a trusted partner, and an active, responsible member of the international community. Vietnam also appreciates the support and affection that international friends have shown to Vietnam throughout the struggle for independence and national construction; and is ready to act as a bridge between countries and ASEAN to strengthen economic linkages and bring benefits to middle-aged and developing countries.
The President suggested that the Ambassadors promote their role as a bridge, promote delegation exchanges, connect businesses, and expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation, thereby practically contributing to the friendship and common interests of each country.
