On July 29 and 30, the Party Committee of Bac Giang Ward, Bac Ninh Province held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025 - 2030 term with the participation of 186 official delegates.
After the merger, Bac Giang ward has a natural area of 23.23 km2, population of nearly 123 thousand people. This is the commune-level administrative unit with the largest scale and population density in the province.
The Bac Giang Ward Party Committee was established on the basis of merging 7 commune and ward Party Committees, currently having 141 party organizations with 8,030 party members.
With the theme: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the First Congress set out 6 groups of targets, 15 specific targets, 5 key tasks, 3 breakthroughs.
At the Congress, delegates discussed and contributed opinions to higher-level congress documents; voted to approve the Congress Resolution.
In his speech, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province emphasized: Bac Giang ward is one of 4 commune-level units selected by the province to organize a congress out of a total of 99 communes and wards in the whole province.
Not only a new administrative - urban center, Bac Giang ward also plays a strategic role in regional linkages, socio-economic development, culture and modern urban management.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province said that Bac Giang ward needs to clearly see: The local development space and room is no longer large, but the ward has the advantage of population size, urban compactness with economic conditions and high income.
Therefore, it is necessary to determine higher requirements for developing urban infrastructure, luxury, modernity, high-class services, high quality, urban landscape must be as beautiful and neat as possible.
In addition to developing services, trade, consumption, services for education, healthcare, culture, tourism, entertainment, etc. must also be very creative and strongly innovative.
Determining socio-economic development as the central task, Party building as the key, the Congress needs to propose tasks and solutions to build a strong and comprehensive Ward Party Committee.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on: Appointing the Executive Committee of the Bac Giang Ward Party Committee to consist of 25 comrades; the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee to consist of 11 comrades.
Comrade Dang Dinh Hoan was appointed to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary.
