In the afternoon of March 17, in Hanoi, the National Assembly Standing Committee (NASC) and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) jointly organized a conference to summarize the coordination work between the NASC and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the VFF.
Speaking at the conference, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai stated clearly that 2026 is of particular importance, the first year of implementing the resolutions of the 14th Party Congress; the first year of the 16th National Assembly term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
In that context, it is necessary to continue to strengthen the coordination between the National Assembly and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in a more proactive, more substantive and closer-knit direction with the reality of people's lives.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to effectively and substantively implement campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; strongly promote the core role in gathering, building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, fully and truthfully reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of voters and people, thereby contributing to strengthening the close relationship between the National Assembly and the people.
This is not only an important task but also a principled requirement to ensure that the National Assembly is truly a representative body of the people.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to listen to and absorb the opinions of the people in the process of building policies and laws through supervision and social criticism activities, social dialogue, and forums to listen to the people.
Ensuring that policies are issued to be increasingly practical and feasible, contributing to promoting a strong shift in assessment thinking from the goal of building "good law in writing" to the highest goal of "good law in life", promoting their role in gathering the intelligence of all classes of people, experts, and scientists, contributing to supplementing scientific and practical arguments for the process of building and perfecting the legal system.
The Presidium hopes that in the coming time, the National Assembly Standing Committee and agencies of the National Assembly will continue to pay attention and closely coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the process of implementing common tasks.
In which, continue to create conditions for the Fatherland Front and member organizations to expand and strengthen the great national unity bloc; promote the role of representing, gathering and reflecting opinions and recommendations of voters and people; strengthen coordination in collecting people's opinions on draft laws, major policies and guidelines of the country.
At the same time, pay more attention to monitoring, urging, and supervising the settlement of voters' and people's recommendations. The two agencies study building a mechanism to regulate the responsibilities of agencies and organizations in receiving feedback on opinions and recommendations after supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Speaking at the conference, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that it is expected that on March 21, the National Election Council will meet, announce the list of winning candidates, direct localities to soon consolidate the new term People's Councils and prepare conditions for the National Assembly to open the First Session.
In the first session, the National Assembly will carry out personnel work, and pass a number of laws and resolutions related to socio-economics.
According to the National Assembly Chairwoman, the NASC, the Ethnic Council, and the Committees of the National Assembly always respect the opinions of the Fatherland Front and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. In 2026, it is necessary to continue to promote the achieved results, including law-making and supervision work.
In particular, in 2026, it is necessary to pay attention to the voter contact work of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels to be practical.
