The Military Enrollment Board - Ministry of National Defense has just issued Decision No. 402/QD-TSQS on issuing enrollment information for the competency assessment exam for university and college training in military schools in 2026 and the following years.
The competency assessment exam serving university and college admissions for military schools is organized for the following purposes:
Assessing the capacity of high school students in accordance with the current general education program.
Orienting careers for learners based on personal competence.
Providing information and data for military schools to use exam results for university and college admissions.
Provide information and data for non-military schools to use for education and training purposes (if needed).
Nature of the exam:
The competency assessment exam to serve university and college admissions for military schools is organized by the Military Admissions Board - Ministry of National Defense; the exam is organized independently of the admission process, taking exam results as a basis at different levels to serve university and college admissions.

The units using the exam results to recruit into the military system in 2026 are 23 schools including:
Military Technical Academy, Military Medical Academy, Academy of Logistics, Naval Academy, Air Defense - Air Force Academy, Border Guard Academy, Military Science Academy, Army Officer School No. 1, Army Officer School No. 2, Political Officer School, Special Forces Officer School, Chemical Defense Officer School, Artillery Officer School, Engineer Officer School, Armored Vehicle Officer School, Information Officer School, Air Force Officer School, Military Technical Officer School, College of Air Defense - Air Force Technology, Naval Technical College, College of Encryption Technology, College of Information Technology, National Defense Industry College.
Exam organization time:
In 2026, an exam session will be organized on the 3rd week of June, after the high school graduation exam.
The competency assessment exam schedule can be adjusted according to the annual high school graduation exam schedule and the actual situation. The Military Enrollment Board - Ministry of National Defense announces the exam schedule at least 1 month before the registration time.
Exam location:
Military Enrollment Department - Ministry of National Defense organizes the exam simultaneously at 3 locations:
Northern region at Military Technical Academy (236, Hoang Quoc Viet, Cau Giay ward, Hanoi City).
Central region at the School of Information Officers (101, Mai Xuan Thuong, Bac Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province).
Southern region at Military Officer School No. 2 (Tam Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province).
In case of a large number of candidates, the Military Enrollment Board - Ministry of National Defense can coordinate with universities in the region to organize the exam.
The Ministry of National Defense maintains the organization of exam sites annually and expands the scale when necessary.
