Proposal to dismiss 5 former department directors in Hanoi from the position of City People's Committee members

Hanoi - The Chairman of the City People's Committee proposed to dismiss 6 leaders from the position of members of the City People's Committee due to retirement or job transfer (including 5 former department directors).

On April 29, the Hanoi People's Council will hold a thematic session (52nd session) to review and decide on many important contents according to its authority. In which, the City People's Council will consider the Resolution on personnel work.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just submitted a document to the City People's Council on the dismissal of 6 cases from the positions of members of the Hanoi People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, on February 25, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 397/QD-TTg on the transfer and appointment of Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung, Director of Hanoi City Police, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee has made decisions: mobilizing Mr. Le Anh Quan - Member of the Party Committee, Director of Department of Planning and Investment to receive work at the Internal Affairs Committee of the City Party Committee; Agree for Mr. Do Dinh Hong - Member of the Party Committee, Director of Department of Culture and Sports to take a job; Mobilize Mr. Le Thanh Nam - Director of Department of Natural Resources and Environment to receive work at the City Party Committee; Appointing Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Director of Department of Information and Communications as Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology; Mobilizing and appointing Ms. Ngo Minh Hoang - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs to accept work at the Department of Home Affairs, as Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs.

Implementing the provisions of law, the Chairman of the City People's Committee submitted to the City People's Council for consideration of dismissal from the position of Member of the Hanoi People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for:

- Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung - Director of Hanoi City Police, to take on a new assignment.

- Mr. Le Anh Quan - former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment to take up the new assignment.

- Mr. Do Dinh Hong - former Director of the Department of Culture and Sports due to retirement.

- Mr. Le Thanh Nam - former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to take up the new assignment.

- Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - former Director of the Department of Information and Communications to take up the new assignment.

- Ms. Ngo Minh Hoang - former Director of the City Department of Foreign Affairs, to take on a new assignment.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, on March 7, 2025, the Minister of Public Security issued Decision No. 1668/QD-BCA on the appointment of Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy Director to hold the position of Director of Hanoi City Police.

In order to meet the requirements in all fields of work and to comply with the provisions of law, the Chairman of the City People's Committee submitted to the City People's Council for consideration of electing additional positions as members of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi City Police.
