On the morning of November 4, the Hanoi Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
At the conference, representatives of the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's decision on the transfer, assignment, and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc will succeed Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - who was appointed by the Politburo as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front (FFF), Central Trade Unions for the 2020-2025 term.
The 5th Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 10, held on the afternoon of November 7, unanimously elected Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term.
On the afternoon of November 5, at the 14th Central Conference, the Central Executive Committee unanimously elected Mr. Tran Sy Thanh - Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to join the Central Inspection Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the Committee.
Mr. Thanh takes on a new position, replacing Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, who was appointed by the Politburo as Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.
Currently, Hanoi is lacking the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee. Mr. Duong Duc Tuan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, was authorized to run the work of the Hanoi People's Committee from November 8 until new instructions from the Central and the City Party Committee.
Previously, on the morning of November 4, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee held a conference to announce and hand over the Decision on personnel work.
According to Notice No. 20-TB/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee, based on Project No. 01-DA/TU, dated October 30, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the assignment, arrangement and completion of personnel for cadres positions after the 18th City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee agreed to assign and introduce to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City for Ms. Bui Huyen Mai - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City.
According to Decision No. 63-QD/dyU of the Hanoi Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee appointed Ms. Bui Huyen Mai - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City to participate as a member of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi City for the 2025 - 2030 term.
In Decision No. 218-QD/TU, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided to assign Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Chuong My Ward, to cease participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and cease holding the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Chuong My Ward for the 2025-2030 term; to work at the City Labor Federation to perfect the position of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation.
