On behalf of the Politburo, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu has just signed and issued Conclusion 118 of the Politburo on adjusting and supplementing a number of contents of Directive No. 35CT/TW, dated June 14, 2024 of the 13th Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Accordingly, the Politburo issued Conclusion 118, agreeing to adjust and supplement a number of contents of Directive 35 to "implement the Central's policy on streamlining the organizational apparatus of agencies and units in the political system".
Conclusion 118 clearly states: The regulation on the number of executive committees, standing committees, deputy secretaries and the number of delegates attending higher-level congresses of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies, the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises, and the Party Committees of provincial and municipal agencies and enterprises mentioned in Directive 35 is abolished.
Conclusion 118 also adjusted and supplemented a number of specific contents stated in Directive No. 35: Regarding the structure and number of executive committees, standing committees, and deputy secretaries of 4 Party committees directly under the Central Government (Party committees of Central Party agencies; Government Party Committees; National Assembly Party Committees; Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committees, Central organizations); number of executive committees, standing committees, deputy secretaries of Party committees under 4 Central Party committees; number of executive committees, standing committees, deputy secretaries of 2 Party committees directly under provincial and municipal Party committees and grassroots Party committees (cells).
According to Conclusion No. 118, the number of executive committees and standing committees of provincial and district Party committees for the 2025-2030 term is implemented according to Directive 35. The Conclusion also guides the organization of congresses for the 2025-2030 term for party committees (cells) that have ended their activities, established new ones, merged, merged and affiliated party organizations.
Notably, Conclusion 118 clearly states the regulations on the time to stop adding members to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee at the provincial and district levels for the 2020-2025 term.
Accordingly, stop adding members to the Standing Committee of the Provincial and District Party Committees for the 2020-2025 term 3 months before the start of the Party Congress at each level (provincial level before July 1, 2025, district level before April 1, 2025).
