On November 23, in Vientiane Capital (Laos), the Vietnam - Laos Business Products Promotion and Trading Connection Fair in 2025 closed after 4 days of organization.
Colonel Phan Duong Minh - Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Department of Defense Industry - chaired the closing ceremony.
The fair under the National Trade Promotion Program will be held from November 20-23, 2025 under the direction of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos and related ministries. This fair takes place on the occasion of the Lao Party, State and people of all ethnic groups preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025).
With many rich and diverse contents, the Fair has brought positive effects and results, attracting a large number of agencies, units, businesses and people to participate. The fair attracted nearly 8,000 visitors to visit, shop and connect with trade.
The Joint Exhibition Area is organized to display outstanding images introducing the special traditional friendship and solidarity between the State, people and the two armies of Vietnam and Laos; introducing and promoting the image of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) in building and developing an economy combined with national defense and defense diplomacy; displaying and promoting the image, products and services of the National Defense Industry (ND), dual-use economy of enterprises of the General Department of Industry and Trade; space to display and introduce Vietnamese culture.
The Fair is organized with 144 booths of 71 units and enterprises with over 1,000 products in the industry groups (Fods - beverages, Garments, Mechanical Products, Finance - Banking, Telecommunications - Technology, logistics, ...).
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nguyen, Director of the Military Exhibition and Trade Promotion Center, General Staff, General Department of Natural Resources and Environment - said that from November 20 to 23, there were 20 trade connections, directly on site and online on the internet (an increase of 15 compared to the plan).
Some Vietnamese products are of interest to Lao businesses and are looking forward to opening dealers in Laos, such as agricultural products ( side cakes, green bean cakes, processed seafood products, etc.), industrial products (electric motorbikes, cleaning room equipment, paint and construction additives), consumer products.
Social policy activities have received special attention from many corporations and businesses.
Previously, at the opening ceremony of the Fair, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts to policy families; 20 computers and 6 printers to the Lao Ministry of National Defense and 10 computers and 4 printers to the Lao Economic Department/Ministry of National Defense.
During the Fair, the Organizing Committee and businesses presented more than 2,000 gifts to the people and visitors to the Fair.
