The Steering Committee for the reorganization of the apparatus when transferring a number of units under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Steering Committee) held a meeting to summarize the preliminary results of the initial reorganization and organization of the apparatus, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs' Electronic Information Portal.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang - Head of the Steering Committee - oriented the tasks that need to be implemented in the coming time.
Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang requested that units continue to closely follow the direction of the Central Steering Committee, the Government and legal regulations to implement and avoid missing tasks.
Assign the Department of Organization and Personnel of the two Ministries (permanent agency) to complete the arrangement and organization of the apparatus of the Ministry of Home Affairs to submit to the Minister for signing a document reporting to the Central Steering Committee according to regulations.
Notably, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang suggested that members of the Steering Committee should actively contribute to completing the Regulations on evaluating civil servants, public employees, and workers in performing public duties to carry out restructuring, improving the quality of the team and reorganizing the apparatus of the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure objectivity, fairness, accuracy, publicity, and transparency. This is associated with improving the quality of the team of cadres, civil servants, and public employees associated with job positions and later quotas. The deadline for completion is February 20, 2025 to report, submit to the Minister for consideration, signing and promulgation.
In addition, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang also suggested that the Trade Union organizations and Youth Unions of the two ministries must do a good job of political and ideological work for union members and association members.
Previously, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Member of the Personnel Committee, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel of the Ministry of Home Affairs, member of the Steering Committee - reported the initial results of the synthesis of early retirement wishes.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, after the merger of the two ministries, the apparatus has decreased from 35 units to 22 units, equivalent to more than 37%. The 22 units after the arrangement include: 6 general staff groups, 12 specialized groups and 4 public service units.
Regarding personnel after the merger, the leadership structure of the Ministry includes Ministers and 7 Deputy Ministers. The personnel from the two ministries after the merger is over 2,000 people.
In addition, there are 191 civil servants, public employees, and workers of the two ministries with less than 5 years of service, of which the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has 131 people and the Ministry of Home Affairs has 60 people.
