On the morning of December 8, the People's Council of the 10th term, 2021-2026, of Ca Mau province opened its 6th session. This session is expected to pass 35 resolutions, this is the largest number of resolutions in a single session of the People's Council approved in Ca Mau.
In his opening speech, Chairman of the People's Council of Ca Mau province Pham Van Thieu emphasized: 2025 is the final year of the 2021 - 2025 planning period, which is also the year when Ca Mau province is affected by many adverse factors such as climate change, natural disasters, landslides, high tides, rising sea levels; prices of input materials increase sharply; production and business activities are fiercely competitive; the implementation of administrative unit arrangement at the provincial and commune levels affects people's thoughts and lives and high requirements for the arrangement and reorganization of the apparatus.
However, with the strong and effective direction and management of Party committees, authorities, sectors, and levels, the consensus and high determination of the entire political system, business community and people, the results of implementing the Provincial People's Council's resolution on the socio-economic development plan for 2025 and the five years 2021 - 2025 have achieved many outstanding results, quite comprehensive in all fields.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the economy in 2025 is estimated to grow by 8% and the whole period will increase by 6.15%; export turnover will reach 2.6 billion USD, up 6.4% over the same period; budget revenue will reach 11,580 billion VND, exceeding the estimate by 11.7%; total mobilized capital will be 86,950 billion VND, up 13% over the same period. Production and business activities are stable. Gross seafood output, industrial production, trading of goods, services, tourism... increased compared to the same period; many industries and fields achieved good growth rates.
Infrastructure is focused on synchronous investment and rapid development; many national and regional strategic projects and works are implemented. The movement to build new rural areas and the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses have achieved many positive results; education, training, culture, health, sports, labor, employment... have been focused on and implemented effectively; social security continues to be focused on; national defense, security, order and social safety are maintained; Party building and the political system continue to be consolidated and perfected; the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups in the province continues to be strengthened.
According to the program plan, at this session, the People's Council of Ca Mau province will review the reports of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2025 and the period 2021 - 2025, propose directions and tasks for 2026 and the period 2026 - 2030, along with many other important thematic reports.
The Standing Committee, the Committees of the People's Council, the People's Court, the People's Procuracy, and the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement report on the results of activities in 2025 and the direction and tasks for 2026; The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee announces the work of participating in building the government in 2025.
In addition, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council will discuss in the hall and exercise the right to question according to regulations. The Provincial People's Council will discuss, consider and resolve 35 resolutions in the fields submitted by the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Economic - Budget Committee of the People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the Standing session of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, he requested the delegates to promote democracy, review the actual situation of the locality, and approve very practical resolutions in the political, economic and social life of the province in 2026 and the following years.
