On July 13, the leader of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police informed about the initial results of the peak period of issuing level 2 electronic identification for foreigners living, working and studying in the locality.
Accordingly, from July 1 to August 19, 2025, the Immigration Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police will launch a peak campaign to provide level 2 electronic identification to foreigners.
The subjects of application are those who are 6 years old or older, have a permanent or temporary residence card with a validity period, own a master phone number in Vietnam and email address.
The registration location is at the headquarters of the Immigration Department, No. 47 Ly Tu Trong Street, Nha Trang Ward, Khanh Hoa Province.
In the first 10 days of the peak period, there were 341 cases of foreigners registering for level 2 electronic identification.
In which, the main source are foreign workers working at foreign-invested enterprises headquartered in Khanh Hoa; individuals with Vietnamese spouses; relatives of foreign workers, experts...
The age of registration for level 2 electronic identification is most concentrated in the working age group.
According to statistics from the authorities, Khanh Hoa province currently has 1,089 foreigners holding valid temporary residence cards, eligible for a level 2 electronic identification account during this time.
To issue level 2 electronic identification, foreign citizens living in the province need to have a passport, a valid temporary residence card, a real mobile subscriber number and an email address.
The time for processing documents shall not exceed 3 working days for cases with information in the national database on entry and exit and not exceeding 7 working days for cases without information.
The registration result will be notified by the police agency via the VNeID application, the owner's phone number or email of the registered person.
According to the leader of the Immigration Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, through the implementation of some cases of poor understanding of processes and procedures, the officers have actively supported.
Completing the level 2 electronic identification granted not only helps foreigners save time when performing administrative procedures in Vietnam but also contributes to improving the effectiveness of State management, ensuring security, order and promoting transparency in the current period.
