On the afternoon of August 18, at the 19-18 Hospital, Hanoi, General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security and Senior Lieutenant General Lazaro Alvarez Casas - Politburo member, Minister of Home Affairs of Cuba - attended, cut the ribbon to inaugurate and attach the signboard of the High-Tech Treatment Area and opened the "Center for cooperation in research and application of medical scientific products between CIMEQ Hospital, Ministry of Home Affairs of Cuba and Hospital 19-8, Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam" (Center for cooperation and research on medical scientific products).
According to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, speaking at the Ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that CIMEQ Hospital of the Cuban Ministry of Home Affairs is a leading medical facility, associated with world-class medical achievements. The 19-8 Hospital of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is a modern general medical center, with the task of protecting and caring for the health of officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security (CAND) and the People.
The official launch of the Center for cooperation in research and application of medical scientific products is not only an important event of the People's Public Security health sector, but also a vivid demonstration of the special friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.
The Minister affirmed that the establishment of this Cooperation Center is a specific and practical result of the implementation of the agreement on cooperation in the health sector between the Department of Health, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Department of Health, the Ministry of Home Affairs of Cuba.
Minister Luong Tam Quang expressed his confidence that the Cooperation Center will become a solid bridge, creating favorable conditions for the two sides to jointly research, apply, and transfer advanced medical science products.
Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination, treatment, and health care for officers, soldiers and people of the two countries. The center will be the place to implement many joint research programs, apply advanced medical products, exchange experts, and transfer technology.
This is also the basis for further promoting the training and fostering of high-quality medical human resources, connecting scientists, and expanding international cooperation in the fields of biomedical medicine, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.
With deep belief in the tradition of special solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba, Minister Luong Tam Quang believes that the Center for cooperation in research and application of medical scientific products will operate effectively, bringing many practical achievements, contributing to protecting and caring for the health of the people of the two countries, while contributing to fostering the traditional friendly cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Cuba.
