The Government Inspectorate has just released information on the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity in the first 6 months of the year.
This agency said it will continue to guide and urge sectors and levels to implement corruption prevention solutions. Results in the first 6 months of 2026 show:
Regarding publicity and transparency: Ministries, branches, and localities inspected 1,506 agencies, organizations, and units on publicity and transparency, and discovered 16 violating units.
Regarding the implementation of codes of conduct and professional ethics: Conducting inspections of the implementation of codes of conduct by cadres and civil servants at 1,637 agencies, organizations, and units, 4 violators were found.
Regarding job transfer: Levels and sectors have carried out job transfers for 20,650 officials, civil servants, and public employees to prevent corruption.
Implementation of asset and income control: 267,367 people have declared assets and income in the period; 4,261 people have been verified for asset and income declaration; inspection of the implementation of declaration and disclosure of assets and income of 1,467 agencies, organizations, and units.
Regarding handling the responsibility of heads when corruption occurs: there are 18 cases concluded to be irresponsible for corruption and wastefulness; 10 people have been criminally handled, and 11 people have been disciplined.
Regarding this issue, at the conference held on the afternoon of July 4, Member of the Party Central Committee, Government Inspector General Nguyen Quoc Doan directed the Inspectorate sector to continue to effectively implement the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity in the last 6 months of the year; Effectively implement the National Strategy on preventing and combating corruption and negativity to 2030 and regulations on controlling assets and income; assess the current situation of implementing corruption prevention measures and propose rectification, overcoming, and amending the Law on Anti-Corruption.
