On the afternoon of December 11, with 467/467 delegates in favor, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on the work of the 2021-2026 term of the National Assembly, agencies of the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy and the State Audit.
According to the approved resolution, in the coming time, agencies need to continue to promote the achieved results, complete their tasks well, contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, and effectively implement the laws and resolutions of the National Assembly.
Regarding the general tasks, the National Assembly requires the completion of promulgating and submitting to competent authorities to issue legal documents to synchronously complete the institutional and legal system on organizing the apparatus, operating the 2-level local government model and implementing the policy of promoting decentralization and delegation of power;
Focus on building and developing a team of cadres, civil servants and public employees with sufficient qualities, capacity, prestige, and professionalism and meeting the requirements in the new period, associated with strong reforms in salary and benefits regimes, attracting talents, and having a mechanism to protect cadres who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good.
The National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly agencies, the National Assembly delegations, and National Assembly deputies strongly innovate supervision and assurance activities in depth, focusing on urgent issues of society.
Focus on monitoring, urging, and re- supervising the implementation of conclusions and recommendations after supervision to improve practical effectiveness.
Improve the quality of decision-making on important issues of the country, especially for basic goals, targets, policies, and tasks of socio-economic development, national budgets, key infrastructure projects, and social security policies.
The President focused on leading the promotion of judicial reform, building a professional, modern, fair, honest judiciary, serving the Fatherland and the people.
The Government and the Prime Minister continue to lead and direct the operation of the administrative apparatus from the central to the grassroots level, especially the completion of the 2-level local government model, overcoming the overlapping of functions, tasks and the mentality of fearing responsibility.
Strengthen decentralization, delegation of authority, and division of authority in conjunction with strengthening inspection, supervision, and control of power, ensuring transparency and accountability;
Resolutely and persistently fight against corruption and negativity, practice thrift and fight waste; strictly implement periodic citizen reception work, promptly resolve complaints and denunciations at the grassroots level, not allowing hot spots to arise.
The Supreme People's Court continues to promote litigation in the trial, continue to ensure that there is no injustice to innocent people, no criminals and criminals are left un punished.
The Supreme People's Procuracy strengthens the responsibility of prosecution in investigation activities, linking prosecution with investigation activities, ensuring that no wrongdoings, violations, or missing criminals and criminals occur.
The State Audit continues to strongly innovate, promoting its role as an important and effective tool of the Party and State in inspecting and supervising the management and use of public finance and public assets, contributing to preventing and stopping corruption, waste and negativity.
