On February 6, information from the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee confirmed that the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee agreed on the plan to arrange the leadership of the Departments under the Provincial People's Committee after the merger.
The Departments will merge including: Department of Natural Resources and Environment in consolidating with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development into the Department of Agriculture and Environment; the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction merge into the Department of Construction; the Department of Planning and Investment will merge with the Department of Finance into the Department of Finance; the Department of Science and Technology merged with the Department of Information and Communications into the Department of Science and Technology; the Department of Culture and Religion of Quang Tri province was established after merging the Quang Tri Provincial Ethnic Committee and the Provincial Religious Committee from the Department of Home Affairs.
The leadership arrangement of the 5 new departments has been unified by the Standing Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, in which directors of Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Finance, Department of Science and Technology Source on the spot.
Earlier, on March 3, the Standing Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on the establishment of the Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee. The Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee were established on the basis of merging the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee. This is the first unit in Quang Tri province to consolidate and be announced.
