The People's Councils of Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces have just passed a Resolution approving the policy of merging Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces into Lao Cai province.
According to the draft resolution submitted to the People's Councils of the two provinces for approval, the new Lao Cai provincial political and administrative center will be located in Yen Bai city, Yen Bai province (currently).
The draft summarizes the project to reorganize Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces into Lao Cai provinces, also providing a plan to reorganize and merge administrative units of the two provinces and workplaces of the units.
Regarding the plan, roadmap, and arrangement to perfect the organizational apparatus of agencies and organizations after the merger, for the Lao Cai Provincial Party bloc, the Provincial Party Committee has a secretary and deputy secretaries, 27 members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and 83 members of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee.

Agencies and units of the new Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee include the Office of the Provincial Party Committee; Provincial Party Inspection Committee; Organizing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Propaganda Department and Provincial Party Committee; Party Committee of provincial Party agencies; Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee; Provincial Political School and Lao Cai Newspaper.
For the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, after the merger, there is a chairman and vice chairmen.
9 departments of advisory and assisting for the new Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province including offices; Organizing Committee, inspection; Democratic Committee, social supervision and criticism; Trade Union Working Department; Farmers' working working balconies, women's working balconies; Children's working balconies; Veterans working balconies; MODERS ASSOCIATION.
For the State Division, the organizational structure, the office apparatus of the National Assembly Delegation and the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council, after the consolidation, will have the National Assembly delegation (Head of the delegation and deputy heads of the delegation), delegation of the People's Council delegation (Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and the Vice Presidents); Office leaders (Chief of Office and Deputy Chief of Office).

There are 4 departments under the Provincial People's Council including the Legal Committee; the Economic - Budget Committee; the Cultural - Social Committee; the Ethnic Committee;
3 professional departments under the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council include the Administrative - Governance Department, the National Assembly Working Department, and the People's Council Working Department.
The organizational structure of the Office of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee after the merger includes leaders of the Provincial People's Committee (chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and vice chairmen); Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office (head of office and deputy heads of office).
The Provincial People's Committee Office has 8 departments and offices; Public Administration Service Center and public service units.
Units under the People's Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, including the Department of Finance, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Ethnic and Religion; Department of Education and Training; Department of Science and Technology; Department of Home Affairs; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Justice; Provincial Inspectorate; Department of Construction; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Health service; Department of Foreign Affairs; Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, Provincial Industrial Zones Management Board.
For the working headquarters of the above-mentioned agencies and units, it is expected to arrange two working facilities in Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces, of which Yen Bai is the headquarters.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board are planning to arrange headquarters in the current Lao Cai province.
According to the plan, the project to reorganize Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces into the new Lao Cai province will be completed and submitted to the Government before May 1.
The Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee currently has the Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Xuan Truong; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Vu Xuan Cuong and Deputy Secretary of the Hoang Giang Provincial Party Committee.
The Standing Committee of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee currently has Provincial Party Secretary Tran Huy Tuan; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ta Van Long and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh.
