On March 7, the Government Office announced that Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 526/QD-TTg on the establishment of the Steering Committee for the development of the Private Economic Development Project (Steering Committee).
According to the above decision, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is the Head of the Steering Committee.
The Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee include:
- Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee, directly directs the development of the Private Economic Development Project;
- Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang - Deputy Head of the Department of charge, coordination and coordination in developing the Private Economic Development Project.
The Steering Committee members include representatives of leaders of the Ministries and agencies: National Defense, Public Security, Finance, Construction, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, Science and Technology, Justice; Government Office; State Bank of Vietnam.
The Steering Committee members also include Chairmen of the People's Committees: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho, Hue; invited representatives of the Central Committee for Policy and Strategy; representatives of the Economic and Financial Committee of the 15th National Assembly.
The Steering Committee is responsible for developing a Private Economic Development Project to submit to the Politburo. The Steering Committee works on a part-time basis, according to the principle of concentration, democracy, public discussion, ensuring unified direction.
The Head of the Steering Committee shall preside over planned meetings and convene extraordinary meetings when necessary, and may authorize the Deputy Head of the Steering Committee to preside over meetings to discuss and decide on a number of specific issues under the duties of the Steering Committee.
The Ministry of Finance is the standing agency that assists the Steering Committee in developing the project.
The Minister of Finance, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee decided to establish an Editorial Team and a Project Development Expert Team.
