On the morning of June 30, at 10.3 Square (Dak Lak province), a ceremony was held to announce the Resolutions and Decisions of the Central and local governments on the merger of administrative units, the establishment of party organizations, appointment of Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces, communes, and wards in Dak Lak province.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; leaders of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces, along with leaders of newly established departments, branches and communes and wards in the two localities.
At the ceremony, Mr. Phan Thang An - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - announced the Resolution and Decision of the Central Government related to the merger of provinces, communes and wards of the two provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen.

The ceremony also announced the Politburo's Decision on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term; the Prime Minister's Decision on appointing the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee (new).

Accordingly, the leaders of the new Dak Lak province include: Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Cao Thi Hoa An - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Huynh Thi Chien Hoa - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Ta Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Do Huu Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung emphasized: "The arrangement of administrative units and the merger of Phu Yen province into Dak Lak is a major policy of the Party and State, which has been carefully considered, discussed and decided by the National Assembly on the basis of science and practice.
The highest goal of this policy is to streamline the apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management. Thereby, maximizing the potential and advantages of each locality, creating leverage for faster and more sustainable socio-economic development."

According to the Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung, Dak Lak province is located in the strategic center of the Central Highlands, with great potential for agriculture, tourism, especially multi-ethnic culture.
When Dak Lak merges with Phu Yen to become a new province, it will have a long coastline, rich marine resources and outstanding potential for island tourism. From there, a new unified entity will be formed with great combined advantages.
The new Dak Lak province has an area of over 1,809 km2, a population of over 3.3 million people and includes 102 administrative units at the commune level.
"From here, Dak Lak will no longer be the "co coffee capital", but also become a "destination for seas and mountains and forests". Including economic corridors connecting the Central Highlands with the sunny and windy Central Coast", added Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung.
