On the afternoon of July 9, the Standing Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee held a meeting and assigned the task of taking charge of the old Gia Lai area.
The conference was held directly at the online meeting room of the Provincial Party Committee and connected online to the bridge points in 77 communes and wards of the old Gia Lai province. Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee attended and directed the conference.
After the merger, the new Gia Lai province has a natural area of over 21,550 km2, the second largest in the country (after the new Lam Dong province), with a population of about 3.5 million people. The new provincial political and administrative center is located in Quy Nhon.
With a large area, traveling to the administrative center takes a lot of time, so the formation of a second facility is based on actual conditions with the goal of solving the fastest, best, and most effective work for people and businesses.
Based on the consensus of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, at the conference, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung assigned the task to Mr. Chau Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, in charge of facility 2 (77 communes and wards of the old Gia Lai province).
Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the second facility is a new model, so during the operation process, it is necessary to both do and learn from experience; if there are problems and overlaps, continue to adjust.
This requires the responsible staff to be flexible, closely following and grasping the grassroots. In the immediate future, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Mr. Chau Ngoc Tuan to closely coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant sectors to develop working regulations, ensuring that the departments at the second facility have sufficient authority to quickly and effectively resolve tasks right in the assigned area.
Speaking at the assignment, Mr. Chau Ngoc Tuan said that he had been attached to and knowledgeable about the old Gia Lai land, so there were certain advantages in the operation. However, the upcoming workload is very large, with many new points.
"The establishment of the second facility is to work, take charge of work, advise on leadership and direction. Therefore, all cadres and party members need to implement the motto "3 days of work at the agency, 2 days to go to the grassroots", with the goal set as the fastest and most concise", Mr. Chau Ngoc Tuan emphasized.
