On July 15, Politburo Member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc attended and delivered a directing speech at the conference to review the work in the first 6 months of 2026 between the Government Party Committee and affiliated Party committees.
Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc requested to continue to effectively implement Party building work on politics, ideology, and ethics; in which focus on implementing resolutions and regulations of the Central Government on political and ideological work in the Party.
Emphasizing the important role of ideological work, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister said that the issue is not only about cadres and party members completing assigned tasks, but also about political bravery, belief in the leadership of the Party and State; awareness of complying with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.
According to the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, it is necessary to continue to innovate propaganda methods in a modern direction, associated with digital transformation; proactively grasp and orient public opinion; strengthen the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, and fight against wrong and hostile views.
Regarding organizational and personnel work, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister requested to continue to synchronously, closely, and effectively implement all stages in personnel work; build and consolidate the Party organization, and improve the quality of the contingent of Party members.
Cadre planning work needs to be carried out regularly, ensuring proactiveness, and shortening the gap between planning and appointment when cadres are eligible.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister said that cadre evaluation is still a difficult stage, and there are still limitations that need to be overcome. Therefore, it is necessary to study and innovate evaluation criteria in a practical and practical direction; strengthen the application of digital transformation, evaluate based on data and specific action programs of each cadre, and at the same time take job positions as the basis for evaluation.
Along with that, continue to implement new regulations on Party organizational model, functions, tasks, and working relationships in economic groups, corporations, and state-owned commercial banks; promptly summarize difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process to propose completion.
In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to training and fostering professional skills in Party building for the contingent of cadres working in Party affairs, because through practical inspection, some limitations in the operation of Party organizations stem from the fact that advisory cadres do not fully grasp tasks, procedures, and regulations, and are not promptly guided and urged.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the requirement to promote self-inspection and self-supervision right from the Party cell, promptly detect and rectify limitations and shortcomings, and not let small violations accumulate into large violations.
Party committees at all levels need to proactively grasp the situation, handle it promptly and strictly when signs of violations are detected; and at the same time link inspection and supervision work with the implementation of political tasks, the work program of the Government Party Committee, the performance of official duties and the evaluation of cadres.
