The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1250/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Hai Duong province for the 2023-2025 period.
Accordingly, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Hai Duong city is as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 0.83 km2 and population of 16,440 people of Pham Ngu Lao ward into Le Thanh Nghi ward. After merging, Le Thanh Nghi ward has a natural area of 2.10 km2 and a population of 26,743 people.
After the arrangement, Hai Duong city has 24 commune-level administrative units, including 18 wards and 6 communes.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Kinh Mon town as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 4.18 km2 and population of 3,924 people of Hoanh Son commune into Duy Tan ward. After merging, Duy Tan ward has a natural area of 11.87 km2 and a population of 11,811 people.
After the arrangement, Kinh Mon town has 22 commune-level administrative units, including 14 wards and 8 communes.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Thanh Ha district as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 3.76 km2 and population of 6,721 people of Thanh Khe commune into Thanh Ha town.
Establish Cam Viet commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 5.79 km2, population of 5,130 people of Viet Hong commune and the entire natural area of 6.25 km2, population of 8,737 people of Cam Che commune.
Thanh Tan commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 4.91 km2 and population of 4,671 people of Thanh Xa commune and the entire natural area of 5.35 km2 and population of 5,577 people of Thanh Thuy commune.
Establish Vinh Cuong commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 6.49 km2, population of 5,424 people of Vinh Lap commune and the entire natural area of 5.72 km2, population of 6,313 people of Thanh Cuong commune.
After the arrangement, Thanh Ha district has 16 commune-level administrative units, including 15 communes and 1 town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Kim Thanh district as follows:
Adjust a part of the natural area of 0.51 km2, population of 757 people of Kim Xuyen commune and the entire natural area of 3.68 km2, population of 4,684 people of Phuc Thanh commune to merge into Phu Thai town.
After adjustment, Kim Xuyen commune has a natural area of 8.18 km2 and a population of 9,771 people.
Establish Lai Khe commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 3.86 km2, population of 6,744 people of Cong Hoa commune and the entire natural area of 5.02 km2, population of 6,171 people of Lai Vu commune.
Establish Vu Dung commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 4.11 km2, population of 7,373 people of Co Dung commune and the entire natural area of 5.36 km2, population of 7,615 people of Thuong Vu commune.
Establish Hoa Binh commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 4.36 km2, population of 5,264 people of Binh Dan commune and the entire natural area of 7.43 km2, population of 7,576 people of Lien Hoa commune.
After the arrangement, Kim Thanh district has 14 commune-level administrative units, including 13 communes and 1 town.
The resolution also outlines the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Binh Giang, Cam Giang, Ninh Giang, Tu Ky, Nam Sach, and Gia Loc districts.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Hai Duong province has 12 district-level administrative units and 207 commune-level administrative units.
This Resolution comes into force from December 1, 2024.
