Lean organization needs to pay attention to workers

CAO NGUYÊN |

Voters hope that when organizing a streamlined and efficient apparatus, attention should be paid to ensuring the rights of cadres, civil servants and workers.

On December 10, the National Assembly Standing Committee opened its 40th session.

At the meeting, Mr. Hoang Anh Cong - Deputy Head of the People's Aspirations Committee (under the National Assembly Standing Committee) - presented a summary report on the National Assembly's people's aspiration work in October and November 2024.

The report stated that voters and people highly appreciate the policy of innovation and streamlining the political system's apparatus to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.

Continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system is an urgent requirement of the practical situation. Voters and people expect that the implementation of the above policy will create new vitality for the task of protecting, building and developing the country, creating leverage for breakthroughs.

At the same time, voters and people hope that when implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus and operating effectively and efficiently, attention should be paid to ensuring the rights of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.

The report also stated that voters and people are very interested in the foreign affairs activities of the Party and State leaders, and believe that these diplomatic activities will open up many cooperation opportunities, contribute to the country's economic development and continue to affirm Vietnam's position and role in the international arena.

In addition, voters are interested in and appreciate the activities of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee, which are increasingly innovative, democratic, responsible, highly constructive, and closely following real life.

"Voters and people highly appreciate the results of the 8th Session, especially the innovation in thinking and methods of conducting legislative work in a concise and clear direction, increasing decentralization, delegation of power, and administrative reform.

Shifting strongly from management-oriented laws to a harmonious combination of effective management with development creation, encouraging innovation, and resolutely abandoning the mindset of 'if you can't manage, then ban'..." - Mr. Hoang Anh Cong said.

However, according to Mr. Hoang Anh Cong, voters and people are still concerned and worried about negative phenomena in land auctions; the situation of dissolved and temporarily suspended enterprises has not shown any signs of decreasing; the situation of workers being suspended from work, quitting their jobs, and withdrawing social insurance;...

The Deputy Head of the People's Petition Committee said that the above issues need to receive more attention from competent state agencies to find solutions in the coming time.

Through the report on the results of voter contact before the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly of the National Assembly Delegation of provinces and centrally run cities, the Petition Committee compiled 1,297 voters' petitions.

After reviewing and classifying, the Petition Committee promptly forwarded the above petitions to competent authorities for settlement in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Petition Committee will monitor and urge voters' petitions to be resolved and responded to on time.
