On the morning of May 14, Ca Mau organized a conference to hand over the position of Commander of the Provincial Military Command between Major General Nguyen Van Hung and Major General Nguyen Van Nganh.

The conference was co-chaired by Major General Chiem Thong Nhat - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 9 and Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai, with the participation of leaders of Military Region 9, departments, branches and related units.

According to the decision of the Minister of National Defense, Major General Nguyen Van Hung - Commander of the Ca Mau Provincial Military Command was transferred to hold the position of Commander of the An Giang Provincial Military Command. Major General Nguyen Van Nganh - Commander of the An Giang Provincial Military Command was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Commander of the Ca Mau Provincial Military Command.

At the conference, the Organization Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee announced the decision of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee appointing Major General Nguyen Van Nganh to participate in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; and at the same time announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee appointing him to participate in the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Chiem Thong Nhat assessed Major General Nguyen Van Hung as an official who has grown up through many positions, has a lot of practical experience in the field of military and local defense; always promotes the role of advising local Party committees and authorities to effectively implement military and national defense tasks associated with socio-economic development.

Regarding Major General Nguyen Van Nganh, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9, he said that this is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots level, has advisory capacity, in-depth, scientific, decisive and highly responsible working style.

Major General Chiem Thong Nhat requested that in his new position, Major General Nguyen Van Nganh quickly grasp the local situation; proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and Party Committee - Military Region Command to effectively handle situations, not to be passive or surprised. At the same time, closely coordinate with departments and branches to effectively implement military and national defense tasks associated with socio-economic development; build strong provincial armed forces, and successfully complete assigned tasks.
