Accordingly, 134 existing communes, wards and towns will be reorganized to establish 48 new commune-level administrative units (43 communes, 5 wards). Maintain 3 commune-level administrative units: Trung Ha, Hung Duc, Kien Thiet.
After the arrangement, the whole Tuyen Quang province has 51 commune-level administrative units, including 46 communes and 5 wards.
The People's Council of Tuyen Quang province also passed a Resolution on the policy of merging administrative units of Tuyen Quang province and Ha Giang province to establish a new province named Tuyen Quang province. The political - administrative center is located in the current city of Tuyen Quang.
The new Tuyen Quang province has an area of nearly 13,800 km2 and a population of over 1.8 million people. The merger aims to streamline the apparatus, maximize the potential and strengths of the two provinces, create new momentum for socio-economic development, and ensure regional national defense and security.
Discussing the above contents, delegates requested the Provincial People's Committee to clarify the legality of documents related to land use rights, household registration, household registration, and business licenses issued before the merger. The arrangement and assignment of cadres, civil servants, public employees and non-professional cadres at the commune level.
Some opinions suggested clarifying the plans for arranging workplaces for agencies after the merger, arranging accommodation and public housing for the staff of Ha Giang province to work in the province after the merger.
