Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 609/QD-TTg on the establishment of a Steering Committee for key projects and important national projects in the railway sector.
According to the decision, a Steering Committee for key projects and important national projects in the railway sector (referred to as the Steering Committee) is established to assist the Government and the Prime Minister in directing the implementation of key projects and important national projects in the railway sector:
1. High-speed railway project on the North - South axis.
2. The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong, Hanoi - Lang Son, Mong Cai - Ha Long railway lines (Quang Ninh).
3. Urban railway projects in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is the Head of the Steering Committee.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha is the Deputy Head of the Standing Committee.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc; Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh as Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.
The members of the Steering Committee include: Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son; Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang; Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy; Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh; Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung; Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security; Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy; Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Xuan Dung; Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang; Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Do Minh Minh; Chairman of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam General Corporation.
Based on the needs and tasks during the operation, the Head of the Steering Committee decides to change and add members to the Steering Committee.
