Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee has just reported on the progress of implementing the task of summarizing Resolution No. 18 - NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee (from December 20, 2024 to December 26, 2024). Accordingly, on December 25, at the 63rd Conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee reviewed and agreed as follows:
With the project to merge the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department with the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, in terms of organization and apparatus, there are only 4 internal focal points.
The focal points include: Office of the Committee (merging the Office of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Office of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department); Department of Political Theory, Science and Culture (merging the Department of Political Theory, Party History and the Department of Science and Culture - Arts under the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department); Department of Propaganda, Press - Publishing (merging the Department of Propaganda, Press - Publishing and the Department of General Information under the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department); Department of Mass Mobilization (merging the Department of Mass Organizations and Associations with the Department of Mass Mobilization of State Agencies, Ethnic Groups and Religions under the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department).
The total staff of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department shall not exceed 38 positions (including the Department's leadership).
Dong Thap builds a Project to end the activities of Party delegations, Party executive committees and Party Committees of Provincial Agencies; Builds a Project to establish Party Committees of Party agencies, unions, People's Councils, provincial judiciary and a Project to establish Provincial Government Party Committees.
Regarding the Project on establishing Party Committees of Party agencies, mass organizations, People's Councils, and provincial judiciary, the total number of Party Committee positions is 12 (including 1 full-time Deputy Secretary).
With the Project to establish the Provincial Government Party Committee, the total number of Party Committee positions is 18 (including 1 full-time Deputy Secretary).
To approve the policy of ending the activities of the Provincial Cadre Health Care and Protection Board from January 1, 2025; transferring the functions and tasks to the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board and the Department of Health accordingly, ensuring uninterrupted activities in protecting and caring for cadres' health, contributing to the good implementation of the province's cadre policy.
Dong Thap also merged Dong Thap Radio and Television Station with Dong Thap Newspaper to establish Dong Thap Provincial Press and Communication Center. This is a public service unit under the Provincial People's Committee. The province ended the operation of Dong Thap Electronic Information Portal, transferring its functions and tasks to the Center.
The Provincial Press and Communication Center is the mouthpiece of the province, continuing to affirm its role in proactive and oriented communication, keeping up with the trends of modern journalism in the fields of visual, print, audio and electronic journalism.
