On April 28, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Giang province held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Participating were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - former Politburo member, former Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Ms. Truong My Hoa - former Vice President; Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Nguyen Van Danh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tien Giang Province.

Reading speech at the celebration, Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Danh said that the victory on April 30, 1975, marking the end of the resistance war against the US and saved the country; show the spirit of resilience, indomitable and the desire for peace of our nation; making our country a unified nation, affirming the right to self -determination and ownership of our people in choosing the path of national independence development and defending the national independence, creating a foundation for the country's construction and development.

Over the past 50 years, our country has overcome countless difficulties and challenges. From a country heavily devastated by war, we have risen strongly, achieving great achievements of historical significance in all fields: stable economic growth, increasingly improved people's lives, solid national defense and security, and increasingly affirmed Vietnam's international position.
In Tien Giang province, after 50 years since the liberation, from a land that suffered a lot of pain from war, the locality has gradually risen strongly and achieved many important achievements in all fields: economy, national defense - security, Party building, government building. Accordingly, in 2024, the total product in Tien Giang province increased by 7.02% over the same period in 2023, GRDP per capita is estimated at 76.4 million VND, State budget revenue in the area is estimated at more than 11,384 billion VND.
