Regarding key tasks for the last 6 months of the year, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang said that the entire Department of Home Affairs urgently and effectively implements the resolutions and conclusions of the Central Government, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government and the direction of the Prime Minister; promote the spirit of proactiveness and drastic implementation of tasks in 10 strategic Resolutions of the Politburo, not to be slow or late in building institutions.
In which, the Ministry of Home Affairs prioritizes comprehensive investment in building and perfecting institutions and policies in the field of internal affairs; focusing on completing and submitting 4 draft laws to meet the requirements of operating local governments at 2 levels.
In addition to promptly advising on solutions to remove obstacles in organization and implementation, and completing the database on administrative units and administrative boundaries, the Ministry of Home Affairs will continue to arrange commune-level administrative units that do not meet standards, and at the same time advise and submit to the Government for promulgation a Resolution on the natural area of 34 provinces and cities.
An important task to be implemented in the coming time, as stated by the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, is to coordinate in synchronously completing the institution on decentralization and delegation of power, clearly defining tasks and powers between levels, and eliminating overlaps and overlaps.
In particular, the Ministry will advise on continuing to streamline the internal organization of ministries, central agencies and departments and branches in localities, streamline public non-business units; assign and manage staff associated with job positions.
The Ministry also focuses on researching and proposing resolutions to replace Resolution No. 27 on salary policy reform and Resolution No. 28 on social insurance reform to submit to the Central Executive Committee according to regulations. At the same time, the Ministry advises on social insurance reform policies to ensure social security, stabilize the lives of workers, and contribute to completing the social policy system in a synchronous and sustainable direction.
