On the morning of August 7, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Organizing Committee for Commemorating Major Holidays of Ho Chi Minh City held an incense offering ceremony, offered flowers and opened a photo exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and summarize the activities of the National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, term XV, 2021 - 2026.
Attending the flower and incense offering points were Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan, former Politburo member, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation and the 15th National Assembly deputies in Ho Chi Minh City.
The photo exhibition took place from August 7 to August 17, on Nguyen Hue Street and Dong Khoi Street, the Organizing Committee displayed more than 100 documentary images with the theme " Glory of the 80th anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam". Thereby summarizing the glorious history of the Vietnamese National Assembly throughout the 80 years of attachment and companionship with the nation in the struggle for independence, freedom and national reunification.
On Dong Khoi Street (in front of Chi Lang Park), the Organizing Committee will exhibit 50 photos with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation - Imprints of the 2021 - 2026 term". The exhibition introduces the mark of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation achieved in the past term.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Ms. Huynh Thi Phuc, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, reviewed the 50-year journey of the formation and development of the National Assembly of Vietnam. She acknowledged that the Vietnamese National Assembly has gone through a glorious journey, always accompanying the people in every historical period.
Ms. Phuc said that the exhibition "The glory of the 80th anniversary of the National Assembly of Vietnam" is a vivid picture, recreating that heroic historical journey. Each photo is a story, an important milestone, a testament to the National Assembly's tireless dedication to the interests of the people.
The exhibition is not only an opportunity for us to review the golden pages of history, but also a deep respect and gratitude for the great contributions and contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies - she emphasized.
The exhibition marks the increasingly substantial results of the National Assembly's activities, democracy has created important milestones in the 80th glorious journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly. In that journey, there are intellectual contributions and efforts from many generations of National Assembly deputies in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau before.
According to Ms. Phuc, the documents, information, and images displayed at the exhibition, although not complete, have partly demonstrated the strength of the great national unity bloc, the unwavering iron and stone will of the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.
