On the afternoon of August 20, at the Government Headquarters, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra received Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the reception, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra expressed her pleasure to meet Ambassador Ha Vi, highly appreciating the positive contributions of the Ambassador and the Embassy to the positive development of Vietnam-China relations in the past time.
Sharing about the tradition of good friendship between the two Parties, the two countries and the people of the two countries, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra affirmed that the consistent policy of the Party and State of Vietnam prioritizes developing relations with China in the overall foreign policy and emphasized that in the context of the international and regional situation with many complex, rapid and unpredictable developments today, the two sides need to effectively implement the important common understanding between the highest leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, constantly consolidate and develop bilateral relations, especially in areas of substantive cooperation.
Informing the Ambassador about the situation in Vietnam recently, especially the promulgation, dissemination, and implementation of strategic and core resolutions in the new development stage of the country, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra requested the two sides to continue to closely coordinate, well implement cooperation contents, promote high-level and all-level exchanges, improve the effectiveness of substantive cooperation in all fields, and support each other to realize development goals.
Congratulating China's development achievements under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping as the core, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra highly appreciated China's experiences, wishing the two sides to strengthen exchanges and share experiences in various fields, including organizational structure, developing high-quality human resources, attracting and valuing talents, developing tourism, cultural industry, healthcare, especially traditional medicine and other social fields.
Sincerely thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to receive him, Ambassador Ha Vi affirmed that the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries is in a very good development period with close high-level contacts taking place, substantive cooperation in all fields, especially trade, investment, tourism with outstanding growth, and people-to-people exchanges taking place vibrantly.
Ambassador Ha Vi warmly congratulated Vietnam's development achievements, especially the strong reforms in various fields under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary and President To Lam; affirmed that China is ready to cooperate with Vietnam to strengthen exchanges and learn from each other's experiences, and jointly promote the cause of building socialism in each country, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
