The "0 VND mini supermarket" continues to support necessities for people in disaster areas in Quy Nhon and Gia Lai, spreading the spirit of community overcoming difficulties.

Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) in collaboration with the Gold Trust Fund (ODF) and the Gia Lai Province Women's Union (GAWEE) have jointly implemented a " mini-turney supermarket of 0 VND", bringing essential necessities to Quy Nhon people after the storm.

At the Gia Lai Province Business Women's Congress on November 19, PNJ and ODF presented 300 million VND to GAWEE, equivalent to 600 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to implement the program. The implementation resource comes from voluntary contributions from PNJ staff.

On the afternoon of November 20, people received a free shopping voucher of 500,000 VND at the voucher issuance point and used it to choose necessities, food, and household items suitable for family needs. The beneficiaries of the support are poor workers in difficult circumstances who are directly affected by storms and floods, which have been reviewed and proposed by GAWEE.

Previously, PNJ deployed a "0 VND mini supermarket" model in many localities affected by storms and floods such as Thai Nguyen, Hue and Da Nang. Hundreds of households have received timely support, contributing to sharing the burden, rebuilding livelihoods and stabilizing their lives after natural disasters.

Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of PNJ shared: "In the most difficult times, I always believe that the power of sharing and humanity can give determination to the people. Through the "0 VND mini supermarket" program, PNJ and its partners hope to not only provide practical support but also send confidence and support to people affected by natural disasters, hoping that people will firmly overcome challenges and soon stabilize their lives."

0 VND mini supermarket is a typical initiative in PNJ's corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, initiated in 2021. After 4 years of implementation, the program has accompanied hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged people across the country, throughout the entire period from the COVID-19 pandemic to the Lunar New Year or at a time when the whole country is suffering a lot of damage caused by natural disasters. This is not only a timely support activity, but also a continuation in PNJ's 37-year journey of social responsibility - associated with the ESG declaration "Responsible actions to honor the beauty of people and life in a sustainable way".

With a series of community projects that make an impression such as mini Supermarket 0 VND, Giay Mo Lo Lem, Raising awareness of autism in Vietnamese children, Happy Young Family, ... PNJ not only fulfills social responsibility but also creates a sustainable ecosystem, where people are at the center. Each activity reflects the philosophy of "Putting social benefits and customer benefits into business benefits", demonstrating PNJ's mission in honoring the beauty of people and life.
