Today (8.), domestic gold prices increased. In Hanoi, many gold shops recorded crowded people coming to transact.

At some gold shops in Hanoi, people's demand for gold is increasing. However, most stores limit the quantity of gold bars and plain round gold rings sold. This makes it difficult for many people who want to buy gold.

On Tran Nhan Tong street (Hanoi), Ms. Bui Thi Mai (Bach Mai ward, Hanoi) said: "I have come here to queue many times, each time I can only buy 1-2 taels of gold rings. Today, the staff announced that each person can only buy a maximum of 1 tael of gold ring or 1 tael of gold bars. I am still waiting for my turn to trade".

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh (Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi) also wants to buy gold rings. He was present at a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong Street (Hanoi) since 9:30 am.

"At first, I only planned to buy a few taels of gold rings as usual. But seeing that the shop was selling gold bars in larger quantities today, I changed my mind and bought gold bars for my convenience. Now, I am still waiting" - Mr. Viet Anh said.

As of 12:00, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by DOJI Group at 122.2-123.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday morning. The difference between buying and selling prices is at 1.6 million VND/tael.

As of 12:00, DOJI Group listed the price of gold rings at 117.5-120 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday morning.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 117.8-120.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday morning.

On the world market, as of 12:15 on August 5 (Vietnam time), the world gold price was listed around 3,370 USD/ounce.
