Cases where students have to pay compensation for support

Article 6, Decree No. 116/2020/ND-CP regulating policies on support for tuition fees and living expenses for pedagogical students stipulates the compensation for support funds as follows:

1. The subjects to be compensated for support funds for tuition and living expenses include:

a) Pedagogical students who have enjoyed the policy of not working in the education sector after 02 years from the date of the graduation recognition decision;

b) Pedagogical students who have enjoyed policies and worked in the education sector but have not had enough working time as prescribed in Point a, Clause 2 of this Article;

c) Pedagogical students who are entitled to the policy are during their training but have switched to another training major, stopped studying on their own, did not complete the training program or were disciplined and forced to stop studying

2. Subjects that do not have to compensate for support funds for tuition and living expenses include:

a) Within 02 years from the date of the graduation recognition decision, pedagogical students working in the education sector and having a working time at least twice the training time calculated from the date of recruitment;

b) Pedagogical students who have worked in the education sector after graduation but have not completed the time required in Point a, Clause 2 of this Article and have been assigned by a competent state agency to work outside the education sector;

c) Pedagogical students after graduation will continue to be ordered, assigned tasks or bid for higher-level teacher training by the agency and continue to work in the education sector for the full time specified in Point a, Clause 2 of this Article.

3. Pedagogical students who are temporarily absent from school or have their studies temporarily suspended will not enjoy support policies during their school days or have their studies suspended.

4. Pedagogical students who stop studying due to illness, accident, re-study, transfer (no more than once) or stop studying for other reasons other than discipline or self-study, are considered by the teacher training institution to continue studying according to regulations, will continue to enjoy the support policy prescribed in this Decree but the duration of the duration does not exceed the maximum time to complete the training program.

Thus, pedagogical students must compensate for support funds in cases according to the above regulations.
