Using official cars against regulations during Tet is fined up to 20 million VND

Clause 4, Article 1 of Decree 55/2026/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 63/2019/ND-CP stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of public asset management; practicing thrift, combating wastefulness; national reserves; state treasury has been amended and supplemented by Decree No. 102/2021/ND-CP (effective February 9, 2026) as follows:

4. Fines for organizations with acts of using public property for improper purposes (using public property not in accordance with the purpose and function of the invested, equipped, and purchased property (except in cases where the property has been decided to change its function of use according to regulations); using working headquarters, professional facilities as houses or for personal purposes; using cars to pick up and drop off from residence to work for positions without standard pick-up and drop-off standards; using cars to serve work for positions without standards; using cars, machinery, equipment, and other assets for personal purposes) according to the following penalties:

a) From 5 million VND to 10 million VND in cases of using public assets that are machinery, equipment, and other assets not within the scope specified in point b of this clause;

b) From 10 million VND to 20 million VND in cases of using assets that are headquarters, business establishments, and cars.

Thus, from February 9, 2026, the use of official vehicles against regulations will be fined up to 20 million VND according to the above regulations.
