Clause 2, Article 7 of Decree 93/2026/ND-CP (effective from March 31st) detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Teachers stipulates as follows:
Round 2: assess the capacity of applicants through pedagogical practice.
a) Exam form: based on the nature, characteristics and requirements of the job position to be recruited, the head of the recruiting authority decides to choose one of three exam forms: question-and-answer, teaching practice or written exam. In case of organizing written exams, one of three forms is implemented: Multiple-choice, essay or multiple-choice combined with essay;
b) Exam content: testing knowledge and pedagogical practice skills according to the requirements of the job position applied for. The content of the second round of the exam must be based on the professional standards of teachers according to the title and be consistent with the requirements of the job position to be recruited. In the same recruitment exam, if there are different job positions requiring professional standards, the Teacher Recruitment Council must organize the development of different second round exam questions corresponding to the requirements of the job position to be recruited;
c) Exam time: 30 minutes of oral questions (candidates taking the exam have no more than 15 minutes of preparation, not counted in the exam time); 180 minutes of written exam (excluding the time of copying the exam questions); the teaching practice exam time is decided by the head of the recruiting authority based on the nature and characteristics of professional activities of the job position to be recruited;
d) Scale of points (answers, teaching practice, written exam): 100 points.
Thus, from March 31, 2026, the second round of teacher recruitment exams is regulated as above.
