On the afternoon of June 24, 142 students in Hon Tre, Lai Son, An Son, Nam Du communes (Kien Hai island district) were present at the Rach Gia City ferry terminal to prepare to take the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Lieutenant Colonel Truong Van Quoc - Head of the Youth Union of Kien Giang Provincial Police - said: This afternoon, officers and soldiers of Kien Giang Provincial Police mobilized many vehicles to pick up and drop off students at Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted to prepare for the exam.
Implementing the direction of the Kien Giang Provincial Police Department, the Provincial Police Youth Union organized the competition season support, deploying many teams to support candidates in the 2025 high school graduation exam. For the contestants in Kien Hai island district, the unit has arranged many vehicles to support them in taking them to the contest. During the exam days, the Youth Union members of the Police and other forces will support free pick-up and drop-off for candidates, Lieutenant Colonel Quoc emphasized.
From June 24 to 29, the provincial police force established volunteer support teams at all competition locations in the province: Media soldier formation; shock formation to ensure security and safety in the competition; formation of information receiving teams to support candidates via hotline; formation of free food and drink distribution; volunteer police vehicle team.
Hua Phuong Nhi, a 12th grade student at Kien Hai Secondary and High School, shared: I feel very grateful to the police force for supporting in taking candidates to the contest as well as asking questions and encouraging us mentally. In the island, travel and study conditions are also difficult compared to those on land, taking a boat without a storm is also very tiring. However, receiving this support, we feel very happy, more mentally strong, and motivated to try to compete better.
According to the schools, students in difficult circumstances are strongly encouraged by the school to support their travel expenses, helping them overcome difficulties to compete with their friends.
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Kien Giang has about 15,600 candidates registered for the exam, the province organizes 30 exam scores.
The People's Committee of Kien Giang province also directed the education sector and related units to focus on doing a good job in the exam, supporting and creating the best conditions for candidates to participate in the exam safely and conveniently.
