According to Korean media reports on December 2, BTS fans were angry after the "2024 Melon Music Awards" aired a VCR (recorded video, replayed) honoring BTS's achievements, but notably omitted all scenes featuring member Suga.
In the VCR shown at the "Melon Music Awards", the edited videos had all six other members (individual images of each person), for the group shots, only the scenes without Suga were used by the organizers.
The reason is said to be Suga's previous drunk driving scandal. He became the center of public attention after the drunk driving controversy, sparking debate about whether he should continue to stay in BTS or not?
Although BTS fans have shown strong support for Suga to stay with the group, this still cannot help Suga restore his reputation after the recent scandal.
Currently, BTS cannot reunite because some members are still performing military service. BTS's management company has not announced anything about whether they will keep or remove Suga from the group.
