On the evening of December 6, the annual Human Rights Award ceremony with the theme: "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025" took place at the central stage of the Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 on Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Hanoi.
This is an award organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television.
The event was attended by Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Party Central Committee member, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung; Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh and representatives of leaders of departments, ministries, branches, local socio-political organizations, international organizations in Vietnam, embassies of other countries...

Speaking at the event, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized: "The award has gone beyond the framework of a traditional photo - video competition to become a national award".
According to the Deputy Minister, outstanding and typical works have been exhibited across the country and introduced to international friends through international events such as in Europe, Asia, America - Latin.
Nearly 100 foreign diplomatic missions of Vietnam have also used these works to promote the national image, contributing to the strong spread of the message of a peaceful, humane, and unique Vietnam.

Each work is a realistic cut of life, a beautiful moment recording the transformation of the country. All blend together to create a vivid picture of a happy - civilized - unique Vietnam - and is rising strongly on the journey of integration and development.
The special thing is that the authors come from different professions, different ages, different regions and ethnic groups; they use different devices, from professional to simple. But all meet in one thing: a passionate love, a heart for the Fatherland and the desire to convey the image of a peaceful - beautiful - dynamic and happy Vietnam to the world, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized.
After more than 4 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received 17,000 photo and video works - nearly double compared to last year. The jury fairly selected 36 award-winning works, along with 150 outstanding photos and 29 videos for exhibition.
The first prize in the Photo category went to author Pham Ngoc Long Thien, with the work "Vietnam in the Rising Era". The first prize in the Video category was awarded to author Luu Minh Khuong, with the work "Happy Smiles".


Launched in 2023, the photo contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam" has become a community initiative, affirming Vietnam's value on digital platforms. With nearly 40,000 entries sent to 97 countries for exhibition, the contest has contributed to building a valuable cultural heritage called "Happy Vietnam".
The award conveys the message that Vietnam is moving rapidly and developing strongly and comprehensively in all fields: Breakthrough in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; International integration in the new situation; Innovation in law-making and enforcement; rapid, sustainable, effective and high-quality private economic development.

The award ceremony is part of the "Happy Vietnam Festival - Vietnam Happy Fest 2025" taking place over three days (December 5-7) in the Hoan Kiem Lake area and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. The overview of the event is "The Road to Happiness" with a journey of 13 activities stretching from Le Thai To Street to Hang Khay Street, through Dinh Tien Hoang Street.
