On October 28, the Can Tho - Phu Quoc route operated by Vasco will officially resume operations, with a frequency of 5 flights to/from Can Tho - Phu Quoc on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On November 8, Vietjet Air officially opened the Da Nang - Phu Quoc route with a frequency of 4 flights/week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
From October 2024, it is expected that more than 20 airlines will operate flights to Phu Quoc in both regular and charter form, from many countries and territories. In the first 9 months of 2024, Phu Quoc welcomed nearly 724,000 international tourists, an increase of over 56% over the same period in 2023, exceeding the 2024 plan by 8.6%. Total revenue from tourism activities reached over 16,000 billion VND, reaching 96.4% of the 2024 plan.
