"The Bride of a Rich Family" is the latest film starring People's Artist Hong Van. In a behind-the-scenes clip shared by the producer, the artist surprised everyone by revealing the value of the items she wore while filming.
People's Artist Hong Van said: "In this film, my role belongs to one of two wealthy families competing with each other. My family competes with Thu Trang's family, another wealthy family, so my stuff cannot lose to that side."
The female artist revealed that the ring on her hand is extremely precious: "When lending it to me to wear, producer Will Vu reminded me: Ms. Van, when you film, please keep this ring carefully for me, don't give it to anyone because this is my family's genealogical ring."
Accordingly, producer Will Vu had to make a commitment with his family to borrow the ring to make a film, and return it intact after filming. He also told his family that People's Artist Hong Van was the one wearing the ring.
Will Vu emphasized to Hong Van: "This ring is priceless, I don't know how much money it would cost to buy the diamond on the ring. According to my family, this ring is worth as much as ten houses."
After listening to Will Vu, People's Artist Hong Van admitted that she felt a lot of pressure, not only because of filming but also because she had to keep the valuable ring on her hand.
The female artist added that the outfit she wore in the film was also very expensive, made by designer To Quoc Son.
"This designer also told me that when I wear this outfit, I must love it, I can only sit, not lie down, and when I sleep, I must sleep sitting up. I heard that this outfit costs up to 15,000 USD, not including the jewelry. He told me that this jewelry is all branded, worth up to several hundred million VND," Hong Van said.
"The Bride of a Rich Family" is a film directed by Vu Ngoc Dang and produced by Will Vu. The film revolves around the story of becoming a daughter-in-law of a rich family from a humorous and satirical perspective, while also revealing the way of choosing a daughter-in-law in the upper class.
The film stars Uyen An, Samuel An, Thu Trang, Le Giang, Kieu Minh Tuan, People's Artist Hong Van... and is expected to be released at the end of October.
