In the bustling atmosphere of the 2025 Ban Flower Festival, on the evening of March 13, at the U Va Village Cultural House, Noong Luong Commune, Dien Bien District, Dien Bien Province, a live show "U Va Legend" recreated the Thai origin took place.
This is an activity within the framework of the Ban Hoa Festival and the 8th Dien Bien Province Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival, aiming to introduce the legends, history and unique folk dances of the Thai ethnic group, while serving the needs of tourists to learn and experience the culture.

With a duration of more than 40 minutes, the show recreated ancient stories, legends and cultural features associated with the lives of the Thai ethnic group, through unique folk dances.

The live show U Va Legend consists of 3 chapters: the legend of the Thai and U Va (the legend of the gourd), the ancient imprints of the Thai people; the legend of the handkerchief ( praising love and the legend of Khauut); the cultural ceremony - the humanistic, ancient beauty, the pride of the Thai people and the connection between the present and the past (between todays people and the origin, the origin).

The chapters are linked together by the unique culture of the Thai people, creating a seamless and emotional story. The show recreated the majestic natural images of Dien Bien, from the typical mountains and forests, Uva Lake, the water crab, the phai, the ditch, the Pang tree, the Ban flower tree.

The performance space is divided into many areas, with mountains, lakes, miniatures, houses... elaborately built. Traditional festivals such as: shampoo, xen sus, xen Muong, khuong di, ban flower, banh can... are also vividly recreated, along with xoe, bamboo dance, and dance during the Xen Pang festival.

The story begins from the time when the earth was in turmoil, when Muong Then had a long drought. Then Lon ordered the backpacking queen to transform into human beings, giving 30 Xa (Kho Mu) and 50 Thai breeds into giant mother's belly and then released them to Muong Then land.

After that, Quan Cong and the naturalists exposed the ceiling and discovered the sound of singing from the goose, used iron bars to puncture and knives to release the Xa and Thai ethnic groups. The story also tells the romantic love story of Chang Lu and the Meritorious Artist, along with the rituals of worshiping the village, ancestors, and praying for the harvest season.
As one of the people of U Va village, Noong Luong commune participating in the performance, Ms. Quang Thi Van - could not hide her joy and pride in directly participating in the live show.
