Many policies to support workers working abroad

In the midst of the great Attapeu (Laos), or the large-scale mulberry farm in Hamyang (Korea), workers in the mountainous areas of Da Nang are writing a story of changing their lives when working abroad.

Finding a future in a foreign land

In the fields of THACO AGRI or Hoang Anh Gia Lai at attapeu, workers from Da Nang are allowed to work in a comfortable environment: From accommodation, kitchen, kindergarten, cultural classroom to sports playground...

Ms. Bhuoc Bang (Nam Giang) working at a cow farm said: "My job is stable, I get a job, I get a job, and my income is sent to my family every month from 13 million to 15 million VND. I am only afraid to travel far when I visit home.

According to Mr. Doan Ba Phi - General Director of Nam Laos Company (under THACO AGRI), the enterprise currently employs more than 6,500 workers and will increase to 12,200 people by the end of 2025. In which, Da Nang workers play an important role.

In La De commune (Da Nang), Mr. To Ngol Nhu goes to work as a banana gardener in attapeu, sending his family more than 10 million VND per month. It is the money that has helped many households like his escape poverty, build houses, and do small businesses.

In the old Nam Tra My district (now divided into 5 communes of Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Linh, Tra Leng, Da Nang city), more than 200 workers have gone to Hamyang district (Korea) to work seasonally in the farm to grow mulberry seeds, make chili gardens and eateries...

Many people who traveled for the second and third times were highly appreciated by business owners, such as Ms. Ho Thi Diep, Nguyen Thi Doi and Ho Thi Duyen...

Many support policies

Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Linh, Tra Leng communes are a bright spot in the seasonal labor export model in Korea. The cooperative relationship between Hamyang district and the locality is not only a cultural exchange or promotion of Ngoc Linh ginseng products, but also a practical bridge for local workers to improve their lives.

According to Mr. Jeong Dong Jin - the person in charge of rural resettlement in Hamyang district, workers in the mountainous areas of Da Nang always strive, comply with the law and are trusted and guaranteed by business owners to return to work many times. In 2025, Hamyang district plans to receive about 200 workers from these 5 communes - an encouraging number for the mountainous area.

In 2024, the old Quang Nam province, now Da Nang City, will have 1,714 exported workers (exceeding 32% of the plan). In 2025, the target of 1,500 people has been set, currently more than 700 people have traveled to the following countries: Japan, Korea, Greece, Laos, Saudi Arabia...

According to Mr. Nguyen Qui Quy - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Da Nang City, labor export is becoming a long-term policy to help reduce poverty sustainably. Cooperation with Korea, Japan, Germany, Taiwan (China)... EPS, IM Japan programs, nursing to Germany... are widely deployed.

In particular, Mr. Quy emphasized: The Central Government and the city have issued many initial support policies for workers working abroad, including maximum preferential loans of up to 100 million VND/person, support for vocational training, language and basic skills. This is a necessary preparation step for workers to soon adapt to the new working environment and increase their ability to stay in other countries.

The Department also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with Nagasaki Prefecture (Japan) on human resources, from livestock farming, healthcare, organic agriculture to tourism. Mr. Ishida Tomohisa - General Director of Nagasaki Provincial Policy - said that the number of Vietnamese workers is increasing and Nagasaki is always ready to support Da Nang.
