On the morning of September 1, the Detention Center - Cao Bang Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the President's decision on amnesty in 2025 (phase 2) for eligible prisoners.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the leaders of the People's Court, the People's Procuracy, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province; leaders of the Provincial Police Detention Center and representatives of the professional departments of the Provincial Police.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Detention Center announced the special pardon decision for 14 prisoners serving their sentences. These are cases with good reform processes, strict compliance with internal regulations, demonstrating clear progress and meeting the prescribed conditions.
The prisoners granted amnesty expressed their gratitude for the leniency policy of the Party and State as well as the concern and dedicated help of the officers and soldiers of the Detention Center. They pledged to comply with the law, be determined to rebuild their lives and become useful citizens for society.
The amnesty policy demonstrates the humanity and tolerance of our Party and State, while encouraging prisoners to actively reform, return to their families and integrate into the community soon.
