Cao Bang - Bao Lac Commune People's Committee has just requested 26 households to urgently evacuate to prevent landslides.

On October 2, the People's Committee of Bao Lac commune (Bao Lac district, Cao Bang province) issued an urgent notice requesting all people in Hamlet 7 to evacuate from the dangerous area before 8:00 p.m. the same day to ensure the safety of life and property.

According to the results of the inspection of the scene after storm No. 10, in Lam Truong area of Hamlet 7, many large cracks appeared, the width of the cracks ranging from 0.7m to 1m, about 150m long, located close to National Highway 34 and at an altitude of 60 - 70m.

This is a location with a very high risk of landslides and flash floods, directly threatening the residential area below.

The area with over 26 households living in a landslide corridor is at risk of being completely buried if landslides occur, and at the same time threatens traffic congestion on the main artery of National Highway 34.

In addition, the area of agricultural land and livestock barns of the people is also at risk of serious damage.

In the face of the above situation, the People's Committee of Bao Lac commune requested: All households in Hamlet 7 must urgently evacuate to a safe place according to the instructions of the local government.

People should only bring their personal documents, necessary items and valuable assets; absolutely do not return to the danger zone. Households that do not comply will be forced to relocate to ensure the safety of their lives.

The People's Committee of the commune assigned the Economic Department, the Commune Disaster Prevention Command, sectors, organizations and the Head of Hamlet 7 to coordinate in inspecting and supporting people in evacuation; arranging temporary accommodation, essential food, ensuring security and order. Commune Health Stations are required to prepare medicine and medical staff to promptly take care of people's health after evacuation.

Chairman of Bao Lac Commune People's Committee Ho Dinh Toan requested the people of Hamlet 7 to strictly comply, and at the same time called for the coordination of agencies, units and functional forces to ensure the highest safety for the people.
