Learn a trade to create stable jobs for yourself
Ms. H'Well (born in 1980), in Dak Glong district, is 44 years old this year. Recently, Ms. H'Well's family life has been facing many difficulties.
When hearing that the Dak Glong District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center opened a brocade weaving class, Ms. H'Well boldly registered to participate.
Ms. H'Well shared: "I am old so accessing information and learning a trade will be slower than other young people. However, with diligence, hard work combined with my own accumulated experience, I completed the course."
According to Ms. H'Well, after learning the trade, she was able to weave brocade by hand for her own use and supply orders to improve her family's economy.
Similarly, H'Soa is only 20 years old this year but has completed a brocade weaving training course. H'Soa learned brocade weaving with a clear career orientation for herself.
"My goal is to study to create my own job and be financially independent, not relying on my family. I signed up to study weaving with the determination to master professional knowledge" - H'Soa shared.
According to H'Soa, after graduating, she and some people in the commune are trying to make quality brocade products to sell on the market, improving their income.
Not only brocade weaving training classes, by the end of October 2024, the Dak Glong District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center coordinated with the People's Committees of communes to open many vocational training classes for local people.
Among them, there are outstanding vocational training classes such as: Office IT, silkworm farming, cooking, veterinary medicine...
Improving the quality of local resources
According to statistics from the Dak Glong District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center, since the beginning of the year, the unit has organized the enrollment of 7 vocational training classes with nearly 300 students participating, with a total disbursement of more than 1 billion VND.
Mr. Doan Van Phuong - Vice Chairman of Dak Glong District People's Committee informed that in the coming time, the authorities will support vocational training according to the vocational training needs of the people and the needs of businesses inside and outside the district.
In particular, Dak Glong district will link vocational training with the goal of developing human resources to serve the task of socio-economic development in the locality.
In addition, Dak Glong district will focus on preserving and promoting traditional occupations associated with rural tourism development; improving the operational efficiency of cooperatives.
Dak Glong district also regularly supports rural start-up businesses, develops collective economy; improves vocational training quality for workers in target groups receiving training support from the State budget.
"The district also encourages, mobilizes and creates consensus among businesses and workers in implementing vocational training support policies. From there, it contributes to successfully implementing the goals of building new rural areas and reducing poverty in the locality," Mr. Phuong added.
