Building gratitude works at the southernmost point
On May 28, Ca Mau province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Ca Mau Provincial Martyrs' and People with Meritorious Services Memorial Temple; and at the same time started the program to build 1,000 houses for poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee - said that Ca Mau is the southernmost land of the Fatherland, a place that marks many feats of arms and sacrifices of revolutionary generations in the resistance wars.
According to Mr. Ngoi, many officers, soldiers and compatriots from all over the country fought, worked and fell on Ca Mau land. Today's peace and development are exchanged for the blood and bones of heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
To commemorate the heroic historical tradition of the nation, and at the same time commemorate the predecessors, heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services, Ca Mau province decided to invest in building a Memorial Temple for heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services of the province.

The project is built on an area of about 2.7ha in the oasis area of An Xuyen ward. The main items include a memorial temple, a long stele with the names of about 40,000 figures, a traditional house, a reception house, a symbolic tower, a landscape lake, a stele, a flagpole and a green flower garden.
The main project part has a total investment of about 342 billion VND from socialized sources.
According to the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, along with the memorial temple project, the province will invest in technical infrastructure and landscape space of the island area with state budget capital with a total amount of 340 billion VND.
The items include leveling the entire project area; building surrounding protection embankments; pedestrian paths along the embankment; 2 bridges connecting to the island area on the West bank; Le Duc Tho road extending about 155m; along with electricity supply, lighting, drainage, greenery and parking lots.
The project is implemented on a total area of about 9ha, invested by the Ca Mau Traffic Construction Project Management Board. Implementation period from 2026 to 2028.
This is not only a large-scale spiritual architectural work but also a symbol of deep gratitude, contributing to educating revolutionary traditions for today's and future generations," Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi emphasized.
Continue to support housing for poor and disadvantaged households
Also at the ceremony, Ca Mau province launched the construction of 1,000 houses for poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the province.
Information from the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that in 2025, the whole province has more than 9,600 households eligible for housing support under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
However, in many remote, deep-lying, and coastal areas, people's lives are still facing many difficulties. The continued support of an additional 1,000 houses shows the province's determination to care for people's lives, not leaving anyone behind.

According to leaders of Ca Mau province, the program has profound humanistic meaning, mobilizing social resources to help disadvantaged households have stable housing, feel secure in labor production, and gradually rise out of sustainable poverty.
On this occasion, Ca Mau province also received support from Dong Nai city to build 3 health stations in Dat Mui, Hung My and Ninh Thanh Loi communes; and at the same time supported the construction of a Youth Park at the provincial administrative center.
